Cheers finished her Championship in 8 shows,
winning Best of Breed over Specials 5 times and earning a Group 3rd along the way.

The day after Cheers finished her Championship, she won the Hound Group!!

2 months later, she won an All-Breed Best In Show!!!
The next day, she earned her Grand Champion title!


With 4 Group Firsts, an All Breed Best in Show and a Specialty Best in Show,
Cheers finished 2018 as the # 3 Basenji in America.

Although Cheers passed all of her health testing, 2 of her siblings did not have passing hips.
For this reason we made the difficult decision to retire Cheers from the show ring and spay her,
rather then risk her passing bad hips to her offspring.

Sadly, in August of 2023, Cheers escaped her owner's yard, was never found and is presumed dead.
We are heartbroken....

She tested Fanconi Clear (direct gene test)
She is PRA Normal by parentage
Her eyes were tested OFA Normal in 2017
Her thyroid tested OFA Normal
